※ Neuronal granule introduction Neuronal granules are also referred to as neuronal transport granules, RNA-transporting granules, neuronal RNA granules, dendritic P-body like structures (dlP-bodies), FMRP granules and Staufen granules(1,2). They are broadly identified by the presence of two highly conserved proteins: Staufen, a double-stranded RNA-binding protein and FMRP. As a kind of cytoplasmic RNP bodies located in Cytoplasm of neurons, neuronal transport RNPs have highly specialized functions and have been shown to interact or co-localize with components of GW/P bodies (1), it's microtubule-dependent and contain Silenced mRNAs and ribosomes components.
