▼ FUNCTION
Component of the NuA4 histone acetyltransferase complex which is involved in transcriptional activation of selected genes principally by acetylation of nucleosomal histone H4 and H2A. The NuA4 complex is also involved in DNA repair (By similarity). Component of the mst2 complex which is a highly specific H3 lysine 14 (H3K14) acetyltransferase that functions together with gcn5 to regulate global levels of H3K14 acetylation (H3K14ac), critical for DNA damage checkpoint activation. |
