Binds medium- and long-chain acyl-CoA esters with high affinity. Can interact in vitro with linoleoyl-CoA and linolenoyl-CoA (PubMed:21128943). Binds phosphatidic acid (PA) and phosphatidylcholine (PC) in vitro. May play a role in the biosynthesis of phospholipids. May be involved in lipid degradation via peroxisomal beta-oxydation (PubMed:24738983).
