※ Stress granule introduction Stress granules are assemblies of untranslating messenger ribonucleoproteins (mRNPs) that form from mRNAs stalled in translation initiation, which form through interactions between mRNA-binding proteins that link together populations of mRNPs. Stress granules are a kind of conserved cytoplasmic mRNP and represent an active liquid wherein energy input maintains their dynamic state, its formation modulates the stress response and signaling pathways (1).
