Schizosaccharomyces cryophilus      Spindle apparatus

※ Spindle apparatus introduction

The spindle is an important structure when cells divide. Phase separation promotes the concentration of molecules into the droplets, thereby promoting biochemical reactions. Some protein mixtures undergo a phase change to form droplets that concentrate actin to promote F-actin assembly in vitro. In addition, studies have shown that the phase transition of spindle regulatory protein BuGZ concentrates tubulin and promotes MT polymerizationbinds to tubulin and promotes spindle assembly (1).
